Who can apply?
Students entering UMD with a transfer GPA of 3.3 or above and with no more than 60 credits completed (and applicable at UMD) at the end of the semester you apply.
When to apply?
Transfer students can apply for admittance into University Honors any time after being admitted to UMD, but before beginning classes. We will make offers based on seat availability as we receive them. Early applications are more likely to be successful.
How to apply
We evaluate transfer students on three criteria. The personal statement, transfer GPA, and list of extracurricular activities. Submit the following three components to complete the University Honors application:
- Personal Statement
- A description of extracurricular activities engaged in within the past four years.
- An official copy of your transcript
