Who can apply?
Any international student entering UMD as an incoming first-year student or with less than 60 credits applicable at UMD.
When to apply?
International students can apply for admittance into University Honors anytime after being admitted to UMD, but before their junior year (completed 60 credits). We will make offers based on seat availability as we receive them. Early applications are more likely to be successful.
How to apply
We evaluate international students on three criteria. The admissions essay, GPA, and list of extracurricular activities. Submit the following two components to complete the University Honors application:
- Personal Statement
- A description of extracurricular activities engaged in within the past four years.
